I am proud to say that I am a product of the Douglas County School System.  As a child, I attended Chapel Hill Elementary, Chapel Hill Middle School, and Douglas County High School.  I graduated from Douglas County High School in 2000. I spent my first two years of college at Young Harris College in the north Georgia mountains. I graduated with an associate's degree in education. After graduation, I transferred to the University of Georgia where I received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  In May of 2015, I obtained a Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.

After graduating from UGA in 2004, I began teaching at Holly Springs Elementary.  I taught fifth grade for two years and second grade for ten years.  In 2016, I became the School Counselor at Mason Creek Elementary.  I am proud to be part of the Wolf Pack!

After college, I moved back to Douglasville.  I married my wonderful husband, Justin, in June of 2008. We had our first child in March of 2011 and our second child in February of 2014.

Value Statement:  "Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way."  -- George Evans

I believe that every student can be a successful student and it is my job, as the School Counselor, to help remove the barriers that sometimes prevent students from reaching his or her full potential.
